One agency’s story
Before Salsa, we were a 1.5 star agency that struggled. Our RNs saw 3 or 4 patients per day, it took forever to get notes back, and we still had to track everything with spreadsheets despite having one of the more expensive EMRs. After Salsa, the RN productivity shot up to 7 or 8 patients a day because charting took so much less time and the system mapped out the patients so they wound up having less drive time. We were able to reassign some nurses from the office back to the field because so much of the QA was automated; it also helped us get up to 5 stars on our quality outcomes and we got rid of the spreadsheets! The surprising part was that the nurse retention went way up - before they might stay a couple of months but now we’ve had the same nurses for years. We literally could not exist without Salsa - it basically runs the agency for us at this point.
